Israel Putnam & Kellogg at Lexington

News from Lexington:  Israel Putnam leaving his plow for Boston, 1775 – by Kellogg & Bulkeley, 1886

Is history repeating?  In 1775, just after the “shot heard ’round the world” was fired at Concord Bridge, a rider set out to tell the colonists that the War for Independence had begun for real.  My great, great… uncle, Maj. Gen. Israel Putnam, left his plow in the field and, without changing clothes, rode 100 miles in 18 hours from Pomfret, CT to Cambridge, MA to muster Connecticut troops and combat the Siege of Boston by British forces.  Now, in our time, the liquidators of our liberty are set against us and we need the same kind of urgency and stamina.  We are engaged in a great civil war for the future of freedom as the world spins out of control and the progressive planners tell us MORE taxes and MORE government regulations are the answer.  The 2008 election was our Lexington and Concord and the 2010’s were our Bunker Hill.  We served the Statists notice but, in the epic elections of 2012, we fell short of victories needed to stop their advance.  Now the elections of 2014 are before us.  We must sustain a weary army of Constitutional Conservatives in pushing back the progressive Democrats & Republicans and restoring our federal government to it’s proper jurisdiction as enumerated in Article I, Section 8 of our Constitution if we are to save the Republic.  Consider the words of Gen. Washington:

“The time is now near at hand which must determine whether Americans are to be freemen or slaves, whether they are to have property they can call their own…. The fate of unborn millions will now depend, under God, on the courage and conduct of this army. Our cruel and unrelenting enemy leaves us no choice but a brave resistance…. We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die.  Our own county’s honor calls upon us…. Let us, therefore, rely upon the Goodness of our cause, and the aid of the Supreme Being… to… encourage us to great and noble actions.  The eyes of all our countrymen are now upon us, and we shall have their blessings and praises if, happily; we are the instrument of saving them from the tyranny meditated against them.  Let us, therefore,… show the whole world that a freeman contending for LIBERTY on his own ground is superior to any slavish mercenary on earth.” Address to the Continental Army before the Battle of Long Island, 27 August, 1776

     Putnam’s Patriots know the strategies that will restore our Constitutional Republic.  But, will “good men do nothing” – succumbing to the temptation to sit in our warm homes watching American Idol (or even Fox News) while political parasites suck the life out of our “civill body politike” or will we use this time to prepare adequate ammunition and strategies for the next round of elections?  Will you wait until the spring of 2014 and then become a “summer soldier”?  If you do, it will be too late.  The enemy is on the move NOW and important events are on the horizon which require planning and engagement if victory is to be ours in November of 2014.

A Solid Approach for Restoring Our Constitutional Republic

  1. Get Grounded – Sign up for classes in Constitutional content or campaign accountability.
  2. Re-center the Political Parties on the Constitution by becoming a Precinct Patriot.
  3. Volunteer NOW from home to clean up your county’s voter roles and prevent vote fraud in the next election.
  4. Verify which of your neighbors are registered to vote and help register constitutional conservatives who are not.
  5. Plug in now to a local Constitutional conservative coalition for your party’s next Primary.

“Give me liberty or give me death.”
(audio clip 2:35)

“And when servile Fraud stalks through the land, and Genius starves in his cell,

while upstart Imbecility rides abroad in chariots;

when man is degenerate, public faith is broken, and public honor violated,

then we will wander forth into the awful shadows of the Past;

and from the skeletons of the battle-fields evoke the spirits of that giant time,

calling upon their forms of unreal majesty for the mighty secret

which made them the man-gods of that era of High Deeds

and Glorious Purposes.
